This piece is a musical joke.
It is based on a 7 note motif (4, 5, 5, 8, 0, 1, 3) taken from my son Keith's old license plate. This motif appears at the start of each section of the waltz with varying harmonization. The piece also includes numerous quotations from other well know works. See how many you can identify.
