BOB ATWELL
Composer
I use and highly recommend
The music notation software for the 21st century from Steinberg.
I am a composer of concert (mostly tonal, post modern, neo-classical) music. I was born and raised in Newton Massachusetts and initially studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. While there I studied composition with Paul Schmeling and John Bavicchi. I also got a little help and guidance from Newton Wayland (arranger for the Boston Pops), Joe Raposo (composer of the Sesame Street theme) and Gunther Schuller (Pulitzer Prize winning composer). I have also recently studied composition at the University of Arizona with Adriel Reynolds, Daniel Asia and Kay He.
I very much enjoy writing music for amateur and semi-professional groups but I have also written more challenging works for professional players. My commission rates are very reasonable and highly flexible. If you are interested in having a piece written especially for you or a group that you are involved with, please use the contact form to get in touch. Most of my works may be seen or heard on my YouTube Channel and the digital sheet music is available on my publisher page at Sheet Music Plus.
Please see the table below or the Catalog page for a list of all my published works with links to a details page and to the specific YouTube and Sheet Music Plus pages.
