Bob is a composer of concert (mostly tonal, post modern, neo-classical, neo-romantic) music.  He was born and raised in Newton Massachusetts and initially studied at the Berklee College of Music in Boston. While there he studied composition with Paul Schmeling and John Bavicchi. He also received a little help and guidance from Newton Wayland (arranger for the Boston Pops), Joe Raposo (composer of the Sesame Street theme) and Gunther Schuller (Pulitzer Prize winning composer).  Bob has recently studied composition at the University of Arizona with Daniel Asia and Kay He

Bob very much enjoys writing music for amateur and semi-professional groups but has also written more challenging works for professional players. Most of Bob's works may be seen or heard on his YouTube Channel and his sheet music is available at J. W. Pepper and at Sheet Music Plus.
